If you can visit this country house in Spring when the primroses are out then you will be in for a treat. 2 of the 3 bedrooms are wonderfully large. There is one room that can be taken as double or a twin, and the Garden Suite has access through French Windows into the most stunning garden with your own private seating area. No need to ask if the breakfast is good when you take a look at Maddy's kitchen. She's happy to take families and you won't find a better garden for tennis or hide and seek.

A lovely B&B situated on a 70 acre working farm and home to the infamous Jess the Springer Spaniel! East Fingle offers 1 en-suite double and one other room that can be either a double or twin, this room has its own private bathroom downstairs. As you would expect the breakfast is all local produce. Evening meals are available by prior arrangement, however two excellent pubs lie within a short walk or drive.
There are 14 bedrooms at the Cromwell Arms in the heart of Bovey Tracey. One of them is a family room that can sleep up to 6, and the thing that I like is that they offer this room as "ideal for a group of people who are on a budget and don't mind sharing." What a wonderful way of putting it! Many groups of walkers are on a budget, so it's right, this is a good option. Add to that the fact that the pub offers good food, a pub quiz every Tuesday AND THAT there is also a therapy room for aromatherapy massage, reflexology and Reiki natural healing, then this looks just the place for a few nights away doesn't it?

2 bedroom and 3 bedroom timber clad lodges in this quiet quality campsite in a most picturesque setting alongside the River Tavy. A delightful family run site which has 125 pitches for camping and touring caravans, some static caravans and these 2 upmarket lodges. Mary claims this is possibly the most remote, luxury B&B in Dartmoor, and I think she may be right! Wydemeet is a totally secluded oasis, providing luxury B&B accommodation in 3 en-suite bedrooms surrounded on all sides by rugged high moor. Mary's ethos is to provide the sort of friendly, warm, relaxed atmosphere of a country house hotel, where nothing is too much trouble, but a little cheaper and a little less formal. Feel free to wander all day, sprawl in front of the sitting room fire, lie back in the hot tub, wander around the large garden or investigate the six acre field of wild flowers. And in the morning enjoy a scrumptious Aga-cooked breakfast of the best quality local produce, prepared to order I can't wait to visit Mary...
