2 bedroom and 3 bedroom timber clad lodges in this quiet quality campsite in a most picturesque setting alongside the River Tavy. A delightful family run site which has 125 pitches for camping and touring caravans, some static caravans and these 2 upmarket lodges. I went along to see inside them on a cold January day and was very impressed. They are modern, warm and spacious, light and spotlessly clean. Very swish indeed. Well equipped with everything from microwave to outside folding chairs to make the most of the relaxing verandah. Julia and Martin have a quality hideaway here, alongside the main house, but entirely separate, this little cottage is perfect for two. With a king size bed under oak beams and beautiful country garden plus small lake, this has to be one of my top recommendations for a romantic honeymoon on Dartmoor. The pleasant shower room is on the ground floor as the bedroom takes up most of the space up aloft. The kitchen is super too. I love it. Close enough for a steam train ride on the South Devon Railway.
