Bovey Tracey on the south of Dartmoor.
3 miles up from the A38 at Drumbridges roundabout by Trago Mills. Bovey Tracey has an interesting range of shops including a chemist, banks, 4 charity shops, deli, butcher and fresh vegetables. The town has a (heated) outdoor swimming pool with toddler pool and full facilites for disabled visitors, which largely depends on the weather.
For children a visit to the House of Marbles with it's giant marble run is a must. Art lovers enjoy a visit to the Devon Guild of Craftsmen at the bottom of town near to the car park. Excellent cream teas are available at the Brookside cafe (above).

Nip into the Bovey Handloom Weavers just below the car park and see the looms in action and the tweed weaving process
explained. From ties to throws and travelling rugs. All very interesting and Stuart the owner is endlessly patient!
