Buckfastleigh

Just off the A38 on the south of the Moor has a lot going for it. The most impressive of which is the fabulous Buckfast Abbey (National Trust) Animal lovers mustn't miss the Buckfast Butterfly Farm and Otter Sanctuary. Which just happens to be right next door to the South Devon Railway. Climb aboard the steam train and journey down to Totnes for a super step back in time. You can then take a boat trip down the River Dart to Dartmouth, which is another great experience.
If you have young children then you absolutely must go and see Pennywell, the farm activity centre - take a look at our Discount Vouchers page you will find a bring a friend for free voucher.
Open from 10 - 5 each day, it has an undercover play area and lots to see and do for youngsters.

Buckfastleigh has a dispensing chemist on Fore Street and a farmer's market is held every
Thursday from 9a.m. to 1p.m in the Town Hall.
