Think about Yeverton and your mind takes you to a roundabout between Tavistock and Plymouth, with a row of
rather nice Victorian villas placed to the North with their sunny faces forever watching the traffic going by. On the opposite side of the roundabout on a sliproad is a row of shops which seems to be the centre of the 'town'. Actually this
is a good spot for walking on the nearby Roborough Downs, and it is on the main bus route into and out of Plymouth. There is a paperweight museum here and something really fascinating is if you visit Yelverton on Google Earth satellite view, you can still see the now grassy, layout of the runways from when it used to be an airforce base during the war.
