Jane and I managed to fit a visit to The Victoria Inn at Ashburton in just before Christmas last year,
but
it was too dark to take many interior shots, and anyway 2 of the three bedrooms were occupied.

I'm glad to say that this Dartmoor pub that is happy to welcome families on board. There is a high chair in
the dining area, and 2 of the bedrooms on the first floor are kitted out with a spare bed for a youngster.

Nice easy going people running this pub, I am sure that they would be happy for you to top and tail a
couple of little 'uns without quoting health and safety chapter and verse.

These two rooms are on the front of the Inn. Nice and sunny in the mornings.
All rooms have a tea and coffee tray and a television.

This room can be taken as a family room or a twin, and it has a wonderful shower room en-suite.
See picture below. When I visited in December it was toasty warm.

Mum and Dad could enjoy a meal downstairs and be just a step away from a sleeping child.
Here's a quick peep at the menu to whet your appetite. There are also daily specials and if you wish to see
my food review of the Curry night that we went to there in December, just click here.
Should there be a special match on during your stay, they have a large screen alongside the pool
table,
which is right alongside the darts board... so Dad's idea of a perfect Dartmoor holiday!!
