every month Okehampton Farmers' Market, centre of
the town around St James' Chapel square.The Market has 20 stalls of local foods
& crafts. You will find pork and pork products, free range
chicken, venison,
ostrich meat and products, lamb, beef and game in season. Fresh fish (weather
permitting) and beer. Luxury pâtés, cheeses, preserves, honey, apple juices and
cider. Bread, cakes and chocolates. Vegetables and fruit in season. Free range

Best all round Dartmoor family show. Horses, cattle, horticultural. Photo competition
open to all comers, horses, sheep, cattle, dog show, bouncy castle, ice creams,
vintage tractors, carriage riding, heavy horses on show and a marching band...
not to mention the wonderful Tony Beard, the horticultural tent, a scarecrow
