A chance to view sumptuous examples of Calligraphy and Illumination from Medieval and Modern times. A rare opportunity to practice Calligraphy and Illumination skills and gild  a capital letter of the Gothic script, using exquisite Holbein Gold.  For all abilities.  9 'til 1.30p.m. Held on the third Saturday of every month Okehampton Farmers' Market, centre of the town around St James' Chapel square.The Market has 20 stalls of local foods & crafts. You will find pork and pork products, free range
  chicken, venison, ostrich meat and products, lamb, beef and game in season. Fresh fish (weather permitting) and beer. Luxury pâtés, cheeses, preserves, honey, apple juices and cider. Bread, cakes and chocolates. Vegetables and fruit in season. Free range eggs, yogurt. Herbs, herbaceous and perennial plants.
