Overlooking the churchyard in this quaint Dartmoor village, the Globe Inn is just a short step from the Square, where the two famous ironmongers, Webber's and Bowden's are to be found. The car park is 50 yards away. Friendly mine hosts Brian and Ann run a lively pub with food served throughout the day. The beer's good, and there are 5 good sized letting rooms. B&B is USUALLY from £30 to £40p.p. per night. BUT at the moment we are running... A Special Spring break - 3 course Dinner, Bed and Breakfast in our new top rate rooms at only £49.50per person per night. Minimum of 2 nights. BARGAIN !!! Call in and warm yourself up by one of our 2 real fires, have a friendly chat at the bar, and order some home-made soup that comes with a hefty chunk of fresh bread....

The house speciality is fresh fish with sardines, cod, tilapia, lemon sole, and rainbow trout on the daily menu. Curries are always in demand and with at least 4 different choices (sometimes 6 or 7) everyone gets to choose their favourite.Vegetarian options are so good that meat eaters sometimes waver. Ask for a T bone or chicken breast no problem... and all meals come with a choice of French fries or potatoes, and veg or salad.
	This family room F it has a double and single bed and a lovely view over the churchyard to Castle Drogo beyond. En-suite shower room The double room at the front also has a great view and an en-suite bathroom	All letting rooms have undergone a makeover to bring them up to a high standard. Every room has an en-suite, a television, and tea/coffee trays along with a dedicated smoke alarm system.... so sorry ... NO SMOKING IN THE BEDROOMS
