Saturday 25th September to Sunday 26th September 11am-5pm WW2 Event Vehicles, displays and re-enactments from the Military Vehicle Trust recreate the atmosphere of war time Britain. There will be a weapons demonstration at 12 noon and battle re-enactment at 2.30pm by the MVT each day. Step back in time and follow the family trail to find out what life was like as a war time evacuee at Castle Drogo. Normal admission prices apply and £2 per child for family trail.
Sunday 26th September In Lewtrenchard, just off Dartmoor, a garden open for the RNLI charity. Coombe Trenchard, home of Mr and Mrs. Marsh. On the side of a hill overlooking the Lew valley, the gardens offer ancient yews, oaks and beeches. Bridges, pathways and different garden rooms. Water gardens recovered from decline. Edwardian planting scheme recovered and improved. Gardeners will love it. Refreshments available - proceeds to local charity. Open from 2 to 5 in the afternoon.
