Dartmoor Hotels with a Devonshire welcome. Ideal for walking holidays

Why choose a hotel rather than a bed and breakfast for your holiday ? Well generally speaking, because they
can accommodate more guests, hotels are less personal, in that you may not see the same faces serving you at
breakfast as staff changes over. You can come and go as you please in a hotel and they are happy for you to stay
indoors all day should you wish; whilst bed and breakfast proprietors will expect guests to head off after
breakfast to return usually, much later on in the day. Folks like to stay at a hotel and enjoy relaxing in the building
and gardens. Some older guests may wish to stay on site all day, and in an hotel they are entitled to do so.
This page rotates for all to have a chance at the top of the list, so they are not in price order.

New onto my website in October this year, I have yet to visit Eastwrey Barton, although I've driven past dozens of times and often thought what a perfect location for a hotel this is, high in the Wray Valley on Dartmoor's quieter side of the open Moorland.
The colours here in Autumn are just heavenly. It's a country hotel with evening dining and a licenced bar, gardens to enjoy the view and I have only heard good things about it. Please note that these are not my photos,
but as soon as I called in to say hello, I shall, of course, be adding some of my own.
