I paid a visit to Penny at Brook Farmhouse and absolutely loved it! Ancient thatched farmhouse full of charm. Homemade biscuits to have with your tea. Easy access into Exeter. I thought that it had only one bedroom on offer, but actually there are three bedrooms which Penny will only let to one party, so it is most frequently used just as a double. Apart from the huge main bedroom there is spacious double and a child's bedroom, again with a double bed on offer. They share a bathroom, but it's a great space at the top of your own private, steep, charming staircase plus your own roomy guest lounge. Just a short drive off the A30 on the edge of Dartmoor, Lobhill Farmhouse is a charming B&B. I visited in October 2010 and was very impressed with the house and what Jane has done with her home. It has a very fresh Country Living feel with welcoming touches throughout. There is a ground floor double room with it's own access which is ideal for a wheelchair. I really like this young farming family. Jane has small children of her own. They provide a large guest lounge for visitors and good sized bedrooms.

Perfect for family camping under cover! New on Dartmoor these shepherd's huts built at the farm are ideal for basic camping treats. Well insulated with lambswool straight off the farm, they come equipped with a fixed double bed, linen, utensils, crockery, a gas hob, hanging space, a sink with cold water, folding table and cool box. No extra charge for children. Small price to bring your dog £3 per night. An adjacent block for toilet, washing machine and use of the fridge. This cottage is one of 4 that the owner offers to holidaymakers. This one has 1 double bedroom and a bunk bedded room with a 2'6" wide bed and a proper drop sided cot with a travel cot available. All cottages share the use of a 29' long indoor pool. I have visited these cottages, and this one is what I would describe as cosy but adequate. Juliette's light and airy home on this working farm in the quaint village of Manaton in the heart of Dartmoor. Plus stabling for your horse £7 per night. Although this B&B has a farm address, it is no longer part of a working farm, BUT it has the same advantages. As it is set in fields on the edge of Dartmoor, and it has a distant view over the Moor.
