Wingstone Cottage self catering on Dartmoor in Devon.

Rob and I visited Juliette on a cold day in Spring before the leaves were on the trees, but the self catering cottage
on Wingstone Farm was warm and welcoming. This double room is on the ground floor. All the bedrooms are
'down below' and the sitting room and kitchen are up above, to make the best of the views. Bowerman's nose is
on the horizon. There are heaps of good walks from this comfy cottage. Plus some really good foodie places.
Manaton
is a traditional Dartmoor village with an impressive church. Juliette will be able to advise on the best walks.
As you can see this is a nice large kitchen. It has windows on 2 sides and is light and fully fitted.
The table is
large enough for 6 diners. We visited on Easter Saturday and Juliette had a couple of Easter
Eggs by the
welcome tray and some hot cross buns ready to say 'hello' to the guests who were due to arrive.
Plenty of space in the sitting room too. There is an electric 'wood burner' for cooler evenings.
Juliette also offers bed and breakfast in her very pleasant home.
The bathroom is on the ground floor just inside the front door. Further family members can stay at Juliette's B&B.
This cottage is spot on for a family with 2 or 3 children - with
a double, twin room and a single bedroom.
It is ideal for a family wishing to bring Gran or Grandpa away on holiday, as the single is a fair size, or there are very comfortable B&B rooms available in the house.
Should you wish to bring your horse
then livery is
no problem at all. Just give Juliette a call to make the arrangements.
