A delightful 18 hole moorland course, designed by Herbert Fowler, who used the old mine working as natural hazards to challenge golfers of all standards. It has outstanding views across Dartmoor and over Cornwall and is a very natural course, with Dartmoor ponies and cattle sharing the fairways. The course has been host to many top quality competitions, including the Men's Senior Amateur Championships in 2006 and the Devon Ladies Amateur Championships in 2011.

Lying on the western slopes of Dartmoor, within the boundaries of the National Park, Tavistock Golf Course has wide
fairways and sweeping vistas. The course looks deceptively simple but it offers a challenging test for the unwary golfer.
Nature has provided its own hazards at Tavistock, with thick gorse and bracken, plus the odd clump of scrubby trees.
There are also cunningly hidden bunkers that can trap the most proficient golfer.

9 Moorland holes and 9 parkland holes make up Wrangaton Gold Club in between Ivybridge and South Brent on the south side of the Moor. The website claims that it is two courses for the price of one. No jeans allowed and mobile phones only used on the course in an emergency. It's not always necessary for visitors to show valid handicap certificates for general play, as the course welcomes new golfers helping help them improve. However handicap certificate may be required for Opens. Check if in doubt.

Set in over 600 acres of rolling Devon countryside, the Ashbury Golf hotel is one of the most facilitated golf hotels in the South of England. In total there are 7 eighteen hole golf course options - Kigbeare, Pines, Forest, Ashbury, Beeches, Oakwood and Willows. In addition there is an 8 bay undercover driving range, a 9 hole putting green, and a chipping and putting practice area. Extra hazards have been added to the natural ones already present, with dozens of bunkers and eighteen lakes making play even more of a challenge. The courses are open throughout the year, with many of the holes having purpose-built alternative greens, allowing for changes when the weather dictates. All the courses are well marked with many helpful hints given during your round.
