I have to apologise for the very late submission for this food review.

We went to the Church House Inn 3 months ago, but as you read in
my introduction, I have lost my part time secretary bird Jane to some
boss fellow in Bovey Tracey, who lured her away with a promise of a 5 day working week, with no transport issues involved damn him, and I have
not as yet found a suitable candidate to efficiently fill her swivel chair.
And so it was that Jane, Pete, Rob and I ended up at the pub to check
it out, showing all and sundry that we are still up for sniffing out
the good and the bad in the world of Dartmoor Hostelry.

BUT on writing the article, I wasn't at all happy with it,
and I rang the owners for a chat....

 

Which has resulted in my promising to go back at a later
date for another try. Which will be fair all round.

 

The one thing that I will tell you is that the food was far above average, and that I am looking forward to my next visit, and to meeting Helen Walker the lady at the helm, who was very keen
for us to have an invitation to call again.

Again unannounced.

 

Getting this one food review in place seems to have held me up
on all the other visits that we have made sampling food.

 

I shall be glad to get back behind a menu !
