Drewsteignton A picture postcard village on the Northern edge of the Moor, just a 5 minute drive through
country lanes from the A30 dual carriageway. This pretty village has a Post Office with groceries, a pub
and a churchand is where you will find Castle Drogo, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. It is the last castle to be built
in England and is now owned by the National Trust. Down from the village is the staggeringly beautiful River Teign
Valley you will find the Fingle Bridge Inn in a most perfect riverside setting.
This is truly wonderful walking country with the Two Moors Way going straight through it. There is a bus
that runs through Drewsteignton, from Exeter to Chagford. The timetable link is at the bottom of this page.
