There are 14 bedrooms at the Cromwell Arms in the heart of Bovey Tracey. One of them is a family room that can sleep up to 6, and the thing that I like is that they offer this room as "ideal for a group of people who are on a budget and don't mind sharing." What a wonderful way of putting it! Many groups of walkers are on a budget, so it's right, this is a good option. Add to that the fact that the pub offers good food, a pub quiz every Tuesday AND THAT there is also a therapy room for aromatherapy massage, reflexology and Reiki natural healing, then this looks just the place for a few nights away doesn't it?
The accommodation facilities at Brimpts are designed specifically to suit large groups of friends and family or businesses. The converted detached Barn offers the option of ten bedrooms, and if you are prepared to 'bunk up' Brimpts can sleep up to 32. If this all sounds a bit energetic you can always opt to just chill out in the hot tub on the decking.

A country house hotel with smart restaurant open to non residents. I can recommend the bar which has a real fire and a good range of local ales and whiskey, for lunch after walking on nearby Haytor Rocks. Contemporary style in the bedrooms and throughout the hotel. Super gardens. Off road car park. Licenced for weddings.
Totally Dartmoor. Small privately run bed and breakfast couldn't be more central on Dartmoor. An excellent choice for walkers. Home made evening meals in the dining room, and I know that the food is good. Dogs are very welcome to stay too. They are used to taking people 'off the road' who want to stay overnight, and then stay on for longer and longer. I'm not at all surprised.
