The Old Vicarage's situation is as beautiful as the house. Liz and Don have three lovely boutique rooms all of which are en-suite. They have a large garden surrounded on all sides by fields where cows, sheep, Dartmoor ponies and deer graze. For visitors interested in the night skies, they are in an area of near-zero light pollution and on clear nights a fantastic number of stars/planets are visible. Guests are welcome to use the house telescope. The open moor also surrounds Shaugh Prior and there are beautiful far-reaching views from all rooms. The city of Plymouth is 6 miles away and the sea at Plymouth Sound and Penlee point can be seen from a number of rooms.
Quarterdeck is an aptly named property, being perched above Bigbury-on-Sea. Directly overlooking Burgh Island, it commands a stunning, south-facing panoramic view of Bigbury Bay, stretching from Bolt Tail in the east to Stoke Point in the west.

Acorn Lodge is situated on the outskirts of Peter Tavy village near Tavistock in Devon and is within the Dartmoor National Park. It is a Bed and Breakfast with a difference as it is separate accommodation from the main house with it's own front door and has lots of space to relax and super facilities. It sleeps from 1 to 4 guests but is only ever booked to one party of family/friends so that you will always have the lodge completely to yourselves. We accommodate stays from one night to however long you wish to stay and single occupancy is also available. The Globe Inn overlooks the churchyard and onwards towards Castle Drogo. Public car park 50 yards. Good bar and Restaurant food, friendly atmosphere. Dogs welcome in the pub, . With plenty of space, and spread over three floors, this delightful cottage provides an ideal getaway for families, being a convenient base for exploring the city, discovering the south Devon coastline or just visiting family and friends nearby.
Julia and Martin have a quality hideaway here, alongside the main house, but entirely separate, this little cottage is perfect for two. With a king size bed under oak beams and beautiful country garden plus small lake, this has to be one of my top recommendations for a romantic honeymoon on Dartmoor. The pleasant shower room is on the ground floor as the bedroom takes up most of the space up aloft. The kitchen is super too. I love it. Close enough for a steam train ride on the South Devon Railway.

2 bedroom and 3 bedroom timber clad lodges in this quiet quality campsite in a most picturesque setting alongside the River Tavy. A delightful family run site which has 125 pitches for camping and touring caravans, some static caravans and these 2 upmarket lodges. I went along to see inside them on a cold January day and was very impressed. They are modern, warm and spacious, light and spotlessly clean. Very swish indeed. Well equipped with everything from microwave to outside folding chairs to make the most of the relaxing verandah. Cox Tor has a family bathroom with shower and bath, and there is an en-suite shower room in the double bedroom. Electricity and bed linen included - just bring your own towels and tea towels. The kids will love the playpark and the riverbank. Everyone loves the resident ducks. Fly fishing available.
