"Very special indeed. You will love the warm outdoor pool. Tor Cottage has 5 double/twin suites all to a very high quality. This luxury bed and breakfast has won many awards, and rightly so. It's a grown up treat of a place.
Tuckermarsh Quay River Cottage is one of a series of three river cottages built by miners and dating from the 1800s. It is idyllically set amongst old English woodlands and is nestled in the Devonshire banks of the River Tamar looking out into Cornwall but just minutes away from Dartmoor too - the best of both worlds!.
Julia and Martin have a quality hideaway here, alongside the main house, but entirely separate, this little cottage is perfect for two. With a king size bed under oak beams and beautiful country garden plus small lake, this has to be one of my top recommendations for a romantic honeymoon on Dartmoor. The pleasant shower room is on the ground floor as the bedroom takes up most of the space up aloft. The kitchen is super too. I love it. Close enough for a steam train ride on the South Devon Railway.
Honeyford Cottage is situated on the edge of Dartmoor, ½ mile from the small hamlet of Crockernwell and 1½ miles from Drewsteignton, a quirky, detached, Grade II* cottage sitting snug within its own 3 acre valley. Surrounded by cottage-style garden with small, enclosed area (chairs) to the front, and the rest roughly mown and well-stocked with stream and large pond (unfenced) with ducks. Paddock for ball kicking and running off steam, shared with the two cats, guinea fowl and hens that live in the barn at the end of the drive (tended regularly).
One of two restored Grade II listed barn conversions with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, oak flooring and a fabulous games room and cinema area.
With a rural spot and spectacular countryside views, this cottage offers superb holiday accommodation. Situated on Dartmoor National Park and only a short drive from Ashburton, this property is in a perfect position. Golf, horse-riding and fishing are just some of the activities close by.
Kestorway is a 1 bedroom annexe to a house with the mos fabulous views. It is a fantastic place for serious walkers or simply wandering Dartmoor's valleys and tors to soak up the spectacular views and peace.
Most of the bedrooms at this established hotel in the centre of Dartmoor boast a four poster bed, spa bath and Moorland views. Popular for weddings at any time of year and a good base for walks, especially to Wistman's Wood a fabled treat nearby. Eat in either the Tors Restaurant or the hotel lounge bar in front of a real fire. Wonderful setting with bags of history. The hotel can accommodate conferences for up to 170 with 100 car parking spaces. Check the hotel website for many breaks, offers, Murder Mystery weekends, dancing holidays, live music and birthday treats.

This detached, stone-built barn conversion is situated next door to the owner’s home on a rare breed farm, within the Dartmoor National Park, a mile from the small village of Peter Tavy, and close to the market town of Tavistock.
Mill House Barn is a sweet little detached cottage converted from a barn tucked behind the friendly owners' former mill house. A trouble free bolt hole for two in a beautiful, rural oasis with great walking locally.
The Shippen is a semi-detached ‘upside down’ cottage converted from an old milking parlour that sleeps 4, it is one of many beautiful barns and stables which served Grenofen manor house. It has pretty views of well-kept flower-filled grounds and long views to the moor, and its own little secluded garden for sunbathing/snoozing. Lots of footpaths around.

The Forest Inn is perfectly positioned with three comfortable en-suite bedrooms in which to relax and use as the ideal base to discover what’s on our doorstep.
The Elephant's Nest Inn is a quintessentially English - and Devonshire - country pub. The 3 generously sized en-suite B&B rooms are located in a newly built extension. Beautifully furnished with solid oak floors and under floor heating, all rooms have large Vi-Spring beds, soft goosedown duvets and pillows and luxurious soft furnishings. Being located in as remote a place as it is, great emphasis is placed on good food, although the pretentious 'gastro pub' description will not be heard here! The garden at the Nest is a 'must see'.
2 miles from North Bovey in a lovely setting is Bovey Castle, built in 1907 as a country seat for the heir to the WH Smith empire and now a renowned hotel. Carefully hidden in the grounds are 22 private, granite-built lodges of which Fox Tor is one
A perfect romantic retreat, this Devon self-catering apartment has use of a sunny courtyard, which provides a relaxing place to sit and watch the swallows swooping near their nest. The delightful first floor apartment is set within the owners' Grade II listed Devon farmhouse, near the tranquil, rural village of Spreyton, close to the boundary of Dartmoor National Park.
The well-furnished interior of this Spreyton self-catering apartment, with a blend of character and contemporary, feels light and airy, and is reached by an external stone staircase, plus this holiday home has its own entrance separate from the main house.
Tavistock's most established hotel and well worth visiting for good food and accommodation. Generously sized bedrooms including some four posters choices, family rooms and pet friendly options. There's an easy to use 'check availability' feature on the hotel website but don't forget to ring and ask if they have any last minute deals - you could benefit from a late deal. Most impressive conference room now at the rear of the hotel and this hotel has a sensible car park for guests.
Cleave Tor is a luxury private, granite built lodge within the grounds of Bovey Castle. The lodges overlook the Edwardian gardens, lakes and tennis courts. All the hotel facilities are yours to enjoy during your stay including indoor heated swimming pool, gym, steam room, sauna, spa and restaurants.
A country house hotel with smart restaurant open to non residents. I can recommend the bar which has a real fire and a good range of local ales and whiskey, for lunch after walking on nearby Haytor Rocks. Contemporary style in the bedrooms and throughout the hotel. Super gardens. Off road car park. Licenced for weddings.
