Lydford Caravan & Camping Park is a private site affiliated to the Caravan Club. They welcome caravans,  motorhomes, folding campers (max shipping length 8.5m) and tents.  They offer hard standing or grass pitches with electric hook up plus a separate area for tents offering wonderful panoramic views of Dartmoor.

They have full toilet and shower facilities with dedicated dishwashing, laundry, and a disabled toilet/shower wet room.

They welcome quiet well behaved dogs on leads only (max 3 per unit).

The small on site shop stocks daily essentials,  newspapers to order,  Calor and Camping Gaz together with a range of camping items.

Caravans, Tents and Motor Caravans from £15.40 to £20.40 per pitch (2 people)
* The pitch price shown includes your choice of hardstanding or grass with electric hook up and full use of toilet and shower facilities.
Smaller hard standing 7m x 3m for use by MOTOR HOMES ONLY maximum length 6.5m not wishing to use an awning (sun canopy ok) £1.00 per night less.
All pitches have 6m of grass space between each pitch.
Standard NO ELECTRIC pitch (TENTS ONLY) £3.60 per night plus adult & child fees as above.
NOTE: no pitch charge for backpackers or cycle campers (no vehicle) personal fees only apply. We freeze cold blocks and charge electronic equipment free of charge. Free boot drying racks for walkers.
Free limited WiFi on site.
Storage Pitches; £poa for season 13/03/15 to 02/11/15. Includes tow in and out from storage. Caravans only maximum unit length 7 metres single axle. Subject to availability.


Local Towns and Villages
What's nearby?: 
Lydford has much of interest to offer all within a short walk from the site. Spectacular National Trust Lydford Gorge is a 3.5 mile (5km) circular walk in the deepest gorge in the south of England. Lydford Castle, a 9th century former prison, plus ancient St Petroc’s Church are well worth a visit, and the village itself is steeped in history and is very pretty. The Granite Way cycle route runs near the site, offering a fairly level track to Okehampton some nine miles distant. Theyare ideally located midway between the north and south coast of Devon and just a few miles from the border of Cornwall with all their many attractions, places of interest and wonderful beaches. The Castle Inn offers all day dining just an easy stroll into the village from site. There are many other interesting hostelries within walking and short driving distance. There is a 2 hourly bus service to Tavistock in the south and Okehampton in the north and beyond, which stops just 100m from the site entrance.
