with fantastic apple displays; tastings; planting & cultivation tips and talks; children’s activities and trails; plus stalls selling fruit, cider and apple juice - truly something for everyone to enjoy!
Angle Twitch, a mixed Morris side from Barnstaple, whose dances are loosely based on both Border and Cotswold-styles, will be dancing in the Fruit Field today with their brightly coloured, tattered jackets, sticks and bells - truly a ‘rainbow’ Morris side.
12noon each day - Kevin Croucher of Thornhayes Nursery will give a talk entitled ‘The English Fruit - Understanding the Taste of Apples’ which will include the opportunity to taste both cooked and raw apples.
Rosemoor’s Apple Festival is organised in conjunction with Orchards Live, Thornhayes Nursery and the RHS South West Area Fruit Group who will endeavour to identify your unknown apple varieties (please bring at least two apples from each variety you would like to identify and no more than 3 different varieties per person. Thank you).
