Welcome to your home away from home in the heart of Dartmoor National Park.
Step inside a tranquil retreat amidst the untamed Dartmoor landscape. Whether you prefer to sink into one of the comfy chairs in front of the log fire to enjoy the captivating views or step out and explore the walks and wilderness, the Prince Hall offers the perfect base for a Devon Holiday.
We have a wealth of options for those who choose to be active, from shooting and fishing a prime stretch of the River Dart, to guided wildlife walks and horse riding. Or perhaps pampering is the order of the day? A hot stone therapy massage will soon ease away any aches and cares.
Mealtimes are a highlight of a stay at the Prince Hall. From the sumptuous Devonshire breakfasts to the carefully crafted dinners created by our chefs using local, home grown and reared produce.
Guests are assured of a relaxed yet impeccable service. Our hospitality extends to four-legged friends and we're proud to be one of the finest dog friendly hotels in Devon.
In the colder months, roaring fires help to create a lovely cosy atmosphere throughout the different lounges as the large windows frame the ever changing weather systems outside. In the height of summer you can relax outdoors until late evening. The perfect place to get away from it all.
If you really do still have to work or use a computer/tablet we have WiFi available in our lovely comfortable lounges.
Whether you're staying at the Prince Hall or merely dropping by for a meal, you can look forward to something a little different each time you visit thanks to our Seasonal Changing Menu.
Choose to eat in the Bistro bar or the light and airy restaurant, all with views out towards the West Dart. If the weather permits, why not eat al fresco on the terrace?
We serve lunches as well as our evening menu, catering for both casual diners and special occasions.
And don't forget to save room for our delicious Devon cream tea featuring freshly-baked crumbly scones, locally-made strawberry preserve and Devon clotted cream.
We go to great lengths to ensure you're food hasn't traveled vast distances. Ingredients are either home grown, home reared or scrupulously sourced.
First and foremost we believe in serving delicious, locally sourced, seasonal fare.
