2 miles from the centre of Lydford (½ mile from gorge/tea room, 1¾ from pub), with signed route direct to open moorland for walking/horse riding, two stylish, semi-detached, ‘upside down’ cottages cleverly converted from a barn within an old farmstead (sheep), alongside the owner's farmhouse. The cottages are smart and comfortable, furnished with flair to include interesting and unusual artefacts, fabrics and pictures. Polished oak floors (rugs) in living areas and bedrooms and polished granite tiles in all bath/shower-rooms; stairgates. Each cottage has its own small enclosed lawned area at the front (picnic table). Stabling for two horses available (good riding country). Unfenced lakes on route to moors (caution small children). Stylish and comfy, a lovely moorland location. Excellent for two family parties to share (interconnecting doors available).

Ceylon (arrowed): at entrance level, good-sized open-plan living/dining/kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, freezer, fridge, electric cooker) with granite worktops and TV/DVD. Winding, open tread oak stairs down to two bedrooms – step up to a double (5’ brass bed) with ceiling open to the rafters, walk-in wardrobe and en suite shower-room (suite plus power-shower), and a smart twin. Bathroom (suite with separate power-shower).
